TechEBlog » Joplin MO (Missouri) Tornado Captured on Video: "Joplin, Missouri was in the direct path of a devastating tornado Sunday night, and it left the city 'isolated and in the dark after the destruction, with telephone connections largely cut off and many homes without electricity after the twister touched down around 6 p.m.' Video after the break."
Not many can say they've lived through a deadly tornado like the one that struck Joplin, Missouri on Sunday. Even fewer can come back from the heart of the storm with footage documenting the terror from within.
Words can't describe the frightening experience this video captures, made all the more horrifying by a lack of clear visual footage. It's the audio from inside this disastrous twister that will make your hair stand on end.
YouTube user izelsg, who uploaded the video of the Joplin tornado, wrote this about it:
The video i took while at Fastrip on east 20th street. We huddled in the back of the store until the glass got sucked out , then ran into the walk in storage fridge. Sorry for the lack of visuals but the audio is pretty telling of how intense the storm was. The tornado hits at around 1:20 seconds.
